Dos-a-dos Embossed Green
This one is nice, used art paper for the single sections, so the individual pages are quite thick. I think this was made right after the blue snake skin, used the same binding method for the spine and added on some more on the cover to emphasize the flowers. I love embossed paper. I love embossed anything. I love embossing!
The end paper in the cover have that chain stitching detail on it. It's really nice when it's a large sheet. I think I'm down to the last sheet now. No, wait, just had a look, to the last half sheet. It's spread out on the table at the moment. Dos-a-dos books are always fun to make. They never stay long with me, someone always seems to want them. So, who's after this one?

The Knife Slipped...
It must be the heavy eyes, mind shutting down, late nights in the studio, working away on a book when it happened...
Normally I'd use the rotary cutter, tonight, I decided to not bother and cut with the cutter in hand...
The knife slipped...
Bled all over the book...
I think it's time to stop and get some sleep - after cleaning up the crimson red fluid that's spilling out from the wound.
It'll probably throb tomorrow.

Dos-a-dos Black & White
A dos-a-dos structure, made the cover months ago. Finally got around to finishing it with the cream pages like Astrid suggested. Figured it needed an accent so I used the red with gold threads to bind it together, and it also ties in with the end paper I used on the inside of the covers.
The book belongs to my yoga instructor now. I gifted it to her as a thank you. And then she booked two of my paintings for her new studio! So cool.

Was Suppose To Go Diving Today...
And it didn't happen. My dive master is down with the flu, and I was so looking forward to going swimming with the fishes. Never mind. Ended up making small wrap around books instead... pictures later...

Orange Beady
I tried out beading the spine. It took ages!! And yet it was necessary for the look of the book. I can celebrate that I have successfully used up all that orange embroided paper for the cover. It's all gone now. No more.
Again reason for the book existance, I was just trying to use up the stuff.
Not to happy with the ribbon, too thick my opinion... The balance wasn't there... Was thinking I could bead it some more to disguise it, and then my mind go, yeah, right - NOT. So it's left unbeaded :-p
I wonder how long will it take for me to prepare the packs for the workshop...

Play Time...
It was play time! I made several books, this is one of them... or three... whichever way you see it. More of a three-books-in-one. I had this knocking around in my head for a while. Also good way to use up the little bits of sections I got. A dos-a-dos plus one. Did a 1 section and 2 sections binding. I like the two sections binding. Don't think it was in the Keith Smith's book...
Amazing what wallpaper, origami paper and bits of leftovers can turn into...
