Dos-A-Dos: Pink & Purple

Pink and blue back to back book

One day a friend and I were talking, her mother in law birthday was coming up and she was trying to figure out what to get for her MIL who has absolutely everything. She was telling me how her in laws are really into books, as from her description, the house was packed with books as they love books. She mentioned how her MIL also kept journals, and she would use the old school text books for that.

'Ah hah!' moment.

Why not get a hand made journal? And there were other parts in the conversation that lead up to using images of the grandchildren as end sheets.

End sheet with grandchild no.1

Chose the pictures, fiddle around with Photoshop, and there you have it! A completely original personalised journal for the intended recipient.

Quite sweet isn't it.

More pictures of the book can be seen here.

Wedding Guest Book: My Very First Commission

For three wedding events & photos!

This book was made in... 2004! Goodness that was a long time ago... Back then I only knew two binding methods, coptic and stab. That was it. Good thing I expanded my répertoire.

Right, this guest book was commissioned with the idea that it was for three seaperate wedding events. The couple was a local Chinese bride and a Protugese groom. So they had a chinese wedding style, a local malay style wedding and a church wedding in Portugal. So the bride wanted a guest book that can accomodate all that.

So the book I made consist of three sections, one for each event. Each event got their own sections so they would only need to undo the ribbon for that particular sectioned event, hence all the gold ribbons at the sides. The bit with the windows is where they can place their wedding photo hence the window. This book has two front and no back if you get me...

Oh, the cool part, the material used for the covers was the same material that the bride made her wedding chongsam. She only gave me so much, 1/2 meter or 1/4 meter, it wasn't alot and man, I was glad you can't see the joints because I had to join them and by the time I was done, she asked for the leftovers, it was only like 2 x 3 inches.

I can't remember the details about the book now, I think I made sure each section had 100 pages, the dimension was probably 10 x 7 inches based on the bench it was on in the picture.

The book travelled well, it went half way around the world and back, and I told the bride if anything happens just let me know and I'll repair it for you... I'm good like that.

Buku Hantaran: Julie's Pink & Purple

A very popular colour combination pink and purple. This one is an A5 with an open heart center. The client was specific with the pink on the inside and purple on the outside.

Pink & purple buku hantaran, engagement folder

It turns out that the client is a staff at where darling hubby works, so he brought the folder in, easier that way, also I figured an indirect way of promoting, you never know right, I found out majority of the staff are at that age of getting engaged and what not. Probably one of my first client that I don't actually meet.

More pictures of the folder can be seen here.

Work In Progress: Long Overdue... Part 4

Aaaaannnndddd they're complete! Ok, 99% because I still have the single folder left which I finished earlier but now when compared to these I'm not too happy with and I might just take that one apart... maybe...

The concertina portrait

The pictures given were a mix of both portrait and landscape, and to make that as one album I didn't like the idea of the dead space the framing will have. It's a construction that I'll leave for another time, right now it was a matter of finishing and be done with it.

All stretched out, more or less...

There were three portrait pictures and five landscape pictures. They are quite big as each framed picture is 11 inches by 13 inches, when you start pulling them out you can imagine how much space they take.

A back view

These shots were taken on my king size bed as I needed a large flat uncluttered surface. My usual set up was just too small...

The landscape version

So you can imagine when I pull out the landscape concertina it stretched across the length of the bed.

Back view of landscape album, notice the different ribbon placement

Due to their size, I couldn't figure out how to photograph them interestingly enough. The client and her family are away for two weeks, leave me with enough time and daylight to experiment with the photo composition at least...

More pictures of the albums can be seen here.

Work In Progress: Long Overdue... Part 3

The home stretch is almost near, if only I could remember where the heck I place the rest of the material so I could do the covers... In mean time, cut boards to make covers... One is landscape and the other is portrait, can't wait for them to be finished. Dare I say by end of the week?

The Chinese Themed Wedding Invitation Cards

Clients loved them! Very important that. And they were involved in the process too, which made quick work. The whole point was to keep the cost of the invites down. Points I needed to consider...
  • The print run was low, 70 pieces. No commercial printers are willing to do that without charging you an arm and a leg.
  • The clients requested different RSVP dates on some of them, which printers are willing to accommodate that I tell you?
  • I want the clients to have hands on involvement, always nice to know you made it, or part of, for your wedding.
  • Colour themes of red and gold.
  • Tags for the money pockets that to be included with the invites.
  • How to reproduce the double happiness character without breaking the bank.
  • Clients like the printed on parchment/velum paper look for the text and all in caps.
This was the final sample that the clients agreed to. The idea was for a double happiness character printed in the center on a beautiful textured red card with bits of gold in it with the text on top.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything like the card in this region. So, I modified and adapted what was available to me.

What was left of the stencil after using it 80 times...
The Card
  • I designed the invite on a 15 by 15 centimeter square.
  • I decided to make a stencil of the double happiness character instead of making a stamp initially.
  • Printed out an outline onto tracing paper and stuck it onto a thin acetate to make the stencil.
  • In hindsight I should've made at least two.
  • It took me 6 hours to stencil onto 80 pieces of red card and dry brushing all over each card to get the gold streaks on them.
  • Used up a whole small jar of gold paint.
  • Started at midnight and went to bed when the sun came up.
  • Amazed I didn't get bored as I did them in one sitting.
  • Listening to stand up comedians helped.
  • Only had an hour's sleep after that as the whole day was packed with agendas.
The completed invitations
The Text
  • The layout was done few days after the initial meeting.
  • Lots of emailing back and forth of the design.
  • Clients happy with layout.
  • Three different sets of RSVP dates according to guests numbers in various quantity.
  • Printed everything out onto tracing paper in one afternoon.
  • Dropped them off to clients with instructions on how they should be cut.
Gold on the edges of the cards
Putting Card and Text Together
  • Came over with the already stenciled red cards armed with a bottle of spray glue.
  • Set up gluing station and work station.
  • Clients amah became a 'christmas tree' as amah referred to herself as I stuck on the already glued up text on her to transport them to other side of room to the work station where clients are busy eyeballing sticking them onto the center of cards.
  • Did same thing with text for red packets.
  • We got everything glued down in record time.
  • Clients very pleased with results.
  • Clients also very happy with newly acquired spray glue.
Poem on the back of the red packets
The Red Packets
  • Raewyn emailed the following poem.
  • Layout for text arranged and printed.
  • Cut and stuck down onto the back of the red packets to be included with the invitations.
Isn't the angle on the envelope cool...
The Envelope
  • Keeping with theme, pink is the way to go.
  • Gave clients a cheap and simple option creating an envelope from an A4 paper.
  • Did demo.
  • Did a step by step with clients how to fold.
  • Bought pack of mini double happiness character stickers to stick onto back of envelopes.
  • Clients very happy with outcome.
keeping everything all in one spot

So all they need now is to write their guests names down and mail them out. I had a fun time hanging out with them as we made their invitations. Lovely couple they were, beautiful inside and out. They're from New Zealand and been living in Brunei for the past two years teaching here and they loved the fact that the rest of south east asia is within arms reach, and because of that decided to have a chinese themed wedding for their big day to commemorate their time of living and travelling in this region.

A friend of theirs recommended me to them and it was a challenge I was willing to take up, something about making editions that always intrigues me. Thank you Yann for introducing them to me and thank you Raewyn and Stewart for believing in me to make your invitations and loving them.

Oh, the invitations, they came out to about 70 odd cents each, it would be less if the spray glue didn't take up 1/3 of the total cost. Either way, still good.

Her Majesty's Birthday Greeting

Apologies for not updating regularly, there's a reason, hopefully it won't be for long because it's very draining. Anyhoo, it doesn't mean I've stopped taking orders and if I haven't gotten back to your email or messages, don't worry, I've already blocked in your order in my time schedule, I just haven't discussed the details with you yet.

One of the orders came from the Brunei Women's Group. I think specifically Bistari because it was the president that got in touch with me. How she got to me was because she was impressed with my wedding card (Woohoo!!). Few things she asked me to do, one was create a birthday card for Her Majesty which they are hosting a function in honour of her, the second one was to design the program book for the function.

With the timeline that was given, I could only do one or the other, and I wasn't so keen to do the program book when they already have the committee for it, or else why have the committee in the first place right?

Now the president wanted something nice to give to Her Majesty, and I showed her some of my previous works and she imediately latched onto the one that was given to Muji, and wanted that! The pop up flowers did it.

With colour scheme in tow, dictations over the phone on the greet, photo CD delivered to my place, and several hours just individually gluing every single flower and heart gem, that was after agonising over trying to get the right colours for the internal, this was presented to Her Majesty in celebration with the conjunction of her birthday that was held at the International Convention Center last Saturday night. Through twist of fate I had to be sick that night, go figure...

The original colour scheme given was peach, orange and yellow. I was very worried on how to make all that work, until I remembered they were only a starting point. I picked the base as peach and used my eyes to get the most pleasing colour combination when picking out the flowers, with touches of gold from the bow and heart shaped gems.

With the bow undone and the doors partly open...

I used a textured deep bronze for the insheets and coincidently it matched the photo. I used a particular origami paper to create the vibrant pop up flowers and punched out smaller flowers to tie in the overall look. The frame looked a bit empty and used more gems to fill it up. The body of text on the right have extra space for the Bistari president's signature.

The president was happy when it was delivered and was thinking of asking me to do the same thing for her next wedding anniversary, sure, more than happy to, I'm just a call away!

Buku Hantaran: Gold with pink and purple

I love this shot, I had to make it the first picture for this post, plus, it shows the true colours used for the base, the other shots I think I over did it on AP. Nevermind, artsy shots always good.

See those tassles? Perfect! A bit stiff here because they hadn't soften up yet, but it's all good, don't want them too limp either now do we...

I stuck the flowers down in pairs randomly over the cover, and I used the cylinder glass beads with the tiny pink rosette to finish off the wide organza gold ribbon used to tie up in doors closed.

The base was a two layer process with a cream patterned (you can just see it) and then over layed with a slighty bronzy organza with glass beads, the material was called Princess Organza when I bought it. Pretty isn't it...

Here's the overall look of the folder, the colours don't do it justice, I just can't get the AP right, and I can't retake the shot either since it was already picked up by the client. Fini was cool, in the sense she sent me images of things she liked colours or look of, the only thing was, she kept on changing her mind until the last image she sent. Which we both liked and I decided to use the colour pallet from that for her folder. Glad you like the folder Fini, I hope your engagement day was fantastic and happy occassion!

Buku Hantaran: Purple & Pink

This was a double layer process, as I first had to use a light purple base and then an organza which got the deep purple spirals with silver detailing on top. Since the pattern was already busy I kept the embelishments simple, a wide white organza ribbon which edges echoes the silver pattern on the folder tied into a simple floaty bow and pink flower gems to add punches on an already very purple folder, and I just had to add in the deep purple heart gems just because they look right at home.

See, even the interior is pale purple with silver ribbon corners. A very purple-y folder indeed. Who likes purple? A bunch of you out there got your arms up I see...
But then, the client that ordered it, never got back to me when I said that it was all done. I'll hang on to it for a while until the end of the month to see if she'll contact me eventually, after that, anybody wants it for their engagement or other purposes? It is made to fit an A4 list. Any takers, just get in touch with me!

Update March 2010: Finally after waiting forlornly on my shelf for almost five months, it now has a new owner. The buyer just texted me in the morning asking if I have an engagement folder available and I directed him to this one, and it was in his hands by the afternoon. He got a good deal too because I knocked off 1/3 of the usual price I normally have for this size. Thanks again Nordin, I hope your engagement function goes really well!

Buku Hantaran: Gold, Cream and Elegant

This order came during the fasting month, she wanted gold and cream to fit her theme colours, I assume it's also for the wedding, that would be nice... she saw the emo one during Hari Raya. Well, you can't compare really, the style and colours are so different!

I knew I wanted the beautiful spiral pattern on either side with the soft floaty bow for a ribbon in the centre. But I was stumped on how to arranged the gem crystal flowers and hearts. After many attempts I decided that this is the one, normally I'd like the gems to be secured whole onto whatever I'm gluing, but this time around, it looked right for the ones in the center of the folder. I used a different glue (E6000) for that, it is known to be a very strong glue.

The client was very happy when she came over to pick it up. She was very excited seeing it, I'm glad. And to show how happy she was, she texted me again that evening to say how happy she was! See, used the word happy bazillion times in this sentence already.

I love seeing a happy client, makes everything so worth while.

Progress!!

I finally finished sorting out my new studio. And I don't think I'm able to do classes this month like I thought I would, because we hadn't moved in yet. Waiting for curtains. Also we haven't found the right dining table either. And I'm looking around for the right work table that I can fold up so we could use it for classes in the studio! I also have to make curtains to cover up the shelves so it'll look all neat and tidy.

Prior to the wedding I thought we would have plenty of time to sort out the house, but post wedding realistically we only have the sundays to do it. The rest of the days in the week was moving like nomads between staying at my parents and his parents place. Then there were some weekends where he had to go down to the other end of the country for work as they had just set up a new branch over there leaving me by myself. It took lots of sundays just to sort out my studio alone. So far the rooms we were able to cover are my studio, his studio, the kitchen and the bedroom.

I have said the house we're moving into was older than me, and it still have all it's original built in wardrobe. When I took out the built in drawers, it apparently was hording what looked like three decades worth of dust. And the drawers were the old school kind, where the runners were made out of wood, none of those fancy plastic rollers that they glide on. I thank the fandangled vacuum cleaner we got to remove most of the dust and I still had to wipe every surface down with a damp cloth to pick up the rest, and the stick of candle that I have in my toolbox and the knowledge that I read from somewhere when dealing with drawers that stick is to rub the candle all over the runners. I now have smooth gliding drawers!!

Post wedding I've been getting lots of orders. But, there was no way I could take them because they were too short notice and I don't really have access to my studio on a regular basis. I've been so tired and drained as you can see I haven't posted anything up on the blog for a while, let alone make books and customs.

I also have a new addiction, I'm probably late in discovering this but thanks to having to wait for an hour for the DH one day when picking him up from work, I discovered sudoku. I've been working at it ever since. While at my late uncle's wake, one of his brother found late uncle's sudoku book and we both poured over it solving a puzzle. It was that bad... I walk around with a sudoku book in my bag, because you never know when all of the sudden you have to wait. Something meditative about trying to figure out where all the numbers are suppose to go, I literally zone out. My DH learnt how to solve the puzzles too now, we take turns filling in the book.

Ryan & Christine's Wedding Guest Book

The book is making it's debut tonight for their wedding dinner. I kept the look simple and uncomplicated. I forgot to bring my camera so was using my camera phone to take these shot at work. My office roommate thought the book is for my wedding, nope, not my colours. I have a different idea for mine, providing I remember to do it.

The covers is a textured purple paper, with a big pink with gold trimmed organza bow that is both practical and decorative. And I dressed up the ribbon with paper flowers at the ends.

To open up the book the bow is untied and I added two tiny bunch of flowers with skinny purple bows just so the front won't look so empty. Roommate asked where I bought the tiny bunches and was amazed when I said I made them, it was a no brainer. Then we went into a discussions on how to look for inspirations, more of me doing the talking and she listening.

When the pages are turned, at every gutter is a pop up flower! I had to do that. And decorated the sheets with punched out flowers in the same paper that I used to make the pop ups. Sticking those down took ages and sticky fingers. The pages I used are perfumed light pink with roses on it.

A little glimpse of my table at work and that the guest book is a concertina. so tonight Ryan and Christine can just stretch the whole thing out on a table and people can write their well wishes without having to cue. And I supplied about eight pens in pink, purple and grey for the guests to use to write in.

After the function is over, they can stick in pictures of the dinner into the book as well on areas of the pages which aren't signed, so they can personalised it even more and whenever they look through the book, they can recall the happy moments of the night as they read the dedications that will be written in the book.

Congratulations Ryan and Christine, my wedding gift to both of you.

I ♥ Nik Kershaw & Some Other Stuff...

I only have one more weekend left until the whole wedding thing happening *eep*. Is everything prepared, I don't know. To catch those 'moment' shots, I don't know. Are my outfits even ready, I checked and was told they're not even sewn yet! Gee, that really helps with my anxiety level... Am I getting enough sleep, not really. It's one of those tossing and turning and tossing and turning and upset over things cos your mind is all confused and jumbled up with what's going on and unfinished dresses(!!) and trying to keep your cool and pretty much probably have stepped on some toes and you're upset you made them upset and this can go on but you get the picture.

So one night because of not being able to sleep, I was chatting online to a fellow book binder in Germany (Hi Sandra!) who is totally excited because she's going to catch A-Ha in concert, I bet you it's front row seats. I mentioned I've always love Nik Kershaw since I was a kid. He's so cute! And so spent the next few nights on YouTube watching his music videos. I'd like to share this one song of his with you all. The music video speaks to me, and the lyrics I love.

Just in case you can't see the video, go here. I got the chorus on repeat in my head alongside with 'Dancing Girls', quite fun seeing a bunch of senior ladies dancing.

My friend Sarah sent me a really nice text on my phone this morning, thanks Choo. It helps. My Soon-To-Be said something really sweet to me last weekend, it was very comforting and reassuring and solidified that we're meant to be on this journey.

I'm trying to finish the wedding guest book for a friend's wedding this weekend, for some reason I'm struggling with it. No worries Ryan and Christine, it will be in your hands before the day complete with glitter pens! And dammit I forgot to bring the glue.

I must be hormonal-ling since I'm having all these emotions at the same time, my period is late.

Anxiety.

Big time.

The Golden Legacy Limited Edition Books

The three limited editions

My brother gave me the soft copy of his writings and wanted it to become a book, sort of a physical manifestation of his soon to be publication. He wanted to have the books ready for our parents birthday and gift to them during the birthday party we organised.

One of the chapters in the book

I spent a whole afternoon just getting the pages printed out in the right order to collate into sections ready for sewing and at least 48 hours under weight to make sure the sections folded flat.

Chose the long stitch binding as it was the easiest (in my mind) binding to do. But I had a bitch of a time with the materials I chose to use for the covers. The spine was a dark red thai silk and the front and back cover were kain tenunan (hand woven cloth with gold threads) that was used as a wedding outfit for my other brother almost 20 years ago, these were the leftover pieces I used.

The author of the book

Three editions were produced, one each for mum and dad, and the other for my brother.

I feel that the books have a lot of significance for my parents, the written words came from their eldest son, the first child, the material used as the book cloth have the memory of the second son wedding, the second child, and the books themselves were made by their second daughter, the fourth child.

Love it when things have reasons and meanings behind them.

Now my brother wants me to make another ten books. Told him it'll have to go in the queue and it'll be a different edition run altogether, the second unofficial printing but with a soft cover this time *grin*

Greeting Pop Up Flowers Book & A Happy Birthday To Muji

Yes I finally gotten around to offloading pictures from my camera, and no I have not found my camera cable yet. Fortunately I could use my fiance's cable since we both have the same digital camera model. It was our Christmas presents.

Photo from Rano

Anyhoo, check this out, I made that purple thing up there that's smack dab in the centre of the picture that Muji (in purple) is exclaiming wow over. (I was informed by the client so it's true, thanks Haryanie) The ones giving it to her were my clients, nicest people ever, they came to see me a couple of times to discuss what they wanted.

They asked for something special, and I invited them to come over to see what I have and discuss on what it was that they were looking for. They liked the idea of the engagement folders that I had made and asked for something similar and supplied me with a photo. And my only other lead was purple, she loves the colour I was told.

My challenge was, how to make it different enough and something that I'm happy with? Rule of thumb, if I'm not happy with it, neither will the client.

And you know what she was looking at?

Pop up flowers greeting card book/folder

This.

It all came together on the nth hour. The right material just happen to land on my table, the right colours popped up and I happen to have all the colours in various forms, like they were waiting in anticipation. I was quite stressed making this but it was worth it. Smart, simple yet stunning. When I presented it to the clients they were really happy with it complete with audible gasp. Hey, it worked! Why, because the element of surprise were the flowers. They popped up.

The partially opened flower

All those pop up engineering books I have helped. I was able to solve the structural problem in order for the flowers to open up properly. It was so simple. Yet so effective.

Detailed shot of the front of the book/folder

And when the covers are closed, it's held by a double bow tie with a cascading flower gems on the front of the purple glittered chiffon covers.

Really love those pop up flowers....

Hunting...

I am hunting for my camera cable. Got loads of pictures but I can't offload them because I can't find my camera cable. The studio got tidied up while I was away and now I have no idea where half my stuff are.

Things I want to write about with pictures:
  • My first male bookmaking participant.
  • The youngest recorded bookmaking participant.
  • Brunei Resources limited edition books.
  • The post valentine book.
  • The custom greeting card book.
  • Long stitch soft cover books for next class.
That's all I can remember off the top of my head right now. I want to go diving tomorrow, but I still have a commission to finish (told client she can pick them up tomorrow) and I might be pulling an all nighter (I hope not) and if I do go diving tomorrow, I'm going to be shot from lack of sleep. So I asked my dive instructor if we can go diving next friday instead, and he said yes, yay! (my weekend is a friday and sunday, I work on saturdays)

Am addicted to playing that scrabble game, Lexulous, on facebook. I've started up games with complete strangers just so I could play.

My cat's gone missing. I hope he'd come back soon. He's back!

Got to make a visit to the framers... Done.

My Engagement Folders (Buku Permintaan)

You got that right, it's folder with an S.

When I got engaged several months back, I was in a dilemma... and a bit stressed. More along the line of what my folder is going to look like than anything else (everything else was great) my folder was nonexistent until the nth hour.

After all these times of making custom orders for other peoples' engagements I was stuck with mine! I didn't know what colour scheme I was going to do. I didn't how I was going to design it. Most important was the colour scheme, it wasn't until the week of the engagement function did I finally decide on the colour scheme, more along the line of the fiance decided on the colour scheme, I just ran with it.

Option A was a bit ostentatious for me, I was just trying to make the feathers work because I already bought them. I thought it'll be something different.

Option B is more classic. More me, but of course this was THE function wasn't it.

In the end, on the day itself, I asked the family, and they chose option....

Which one would you have chosen?

The Blue Green Secret Diary

A mother commissioned a diary for her thirteen years old daughter who loves to write for Christmas. The daughter had requested for blue and green, glitter, pen holder and something big where she could write as well as stick pictures in. That was the gist of it, there were more details on what she likes and it reminded me of me when I was a teenager.

And I thought, what would I want at that age? Something cool, something that I can grow up with, but at the same time still fun. I guess that's where all the glitter stuff comes in. You could see it at the end sheets.

The book resulted in a 12 by 16 inches wide and about an inch thick. It has a journal section with alternating blue and green pages with an exposed spine long stitch binding, some pictures or whatnot could be stuck in there. But I also added in a concertina spine flag book about 7 by 10 inches wide for her to stick in anything she'd like and it'll still be ok as the spine can take on the swell. I had to do the flag book twice because the first one got screwed up due to I was rushing it.

Mental note: Never rush making a book because you end up spending twice as long.

My favourite part, the double pen holders. You can't open the book until you take out the pens that are holding the covers down. Totally love the colour combination, individually the materials I used looked boring on their own, but when combined together with the bright green accent from the ribbon they look fantastic. Well worth making this book.

When the book was delivered they were not home and it went straight under the tree already wrapped up and name tagged. I was told that when she opened it, the mother said it was a success.

I'm happy :-D

More pictures of the blue green diary here.

All That White and Red II

This was a commission from a dear lady, who asked me to make a book from her son's wedding pictures. It was a mixture of portrait and landscape shots which she had selected and had printed out. I didn't want to do just a regular book and the pictures were beautiful and I felt it would be a shame to just keep it in a book only to open when you want to see it. Since the pictures were about 8 by 12 inches, I told her that I would make the book into a concertina so that not only can they keep it as a book but also able to pull it out as a display.

In theory it was a good idea.

I just had to find the courage to make it.

I'm glad I went with my gut instincts. Here's one of the two books I made.

The book when closed

I kept the front simple, with details coming from the sash of satin organza ribbon across with the bow and little red roses hanging from skinny white satin ribbons with silver details on the side. I used chiffon with silver dots throughout the book to add sparkle and glitter.

Book partially opened

As you can see, it opens up like a regular book with pictures of a beautiful wedding couple. The bride was so pretty and her dress was beautiful, I used her as the inspiration for the books.

Book/Album when opened and displayed

I used the red roses on ribbons at the side as accents and they add colour as well as pick out the bouquet of red roses the bride has. Took me several hours just to put those roses on. In total for the three books I used almost 80 roses.

The pictures are recessed so even when shut they do not touch each other and are not glued down. The only thing that's holding them in place are the ribbons at the corners. That way they can choose to move the pictures around or change it for a different set of images.

The landscape version is the same as well, only when you stretch it all out, they better have enough table space for it.

All in all, the client and husband was blown away when I presented the books. She was so happy I got an extra tight hug from her when she was saying thank you. The books have flown off to Europe as Christmas presents for the wedding couple, and I hope that they feel the same way as their parents did when I presented them the books.

At Work & All That White and Red

This is me, at god knows what time in the morning. There I am trying to figure out a placement for all those red roses and ribbons. I moved into the living room and took over the dining table. I needed alot of space for this. I lost sleep doing this order but well worth it.

And after no sleep and working straight into the night and back into day, I came out with two 16 inches by 12 inches album books and I made the smaller book as a present for the client.

To be continued in the next post...
